Also, this is kind of “meta”. How can a comic about the comic being ignored make sense… to write about it you have to stop ignoring it… unless… the comic writes itself or something?

A friend and I had the following back-and-forth about it:

Him: Great question! I think the vampire would fail to materialize.

Me: I think it depends on if the anti-vampire ward is a “barrier” or if it “infuses” the entire house.

I believe it would be the latter. Besides, if it were a barrier, transporters can’t beam through shields, either!

What if Geordi used a tachyon beam to create a non-warded bubble inside the house to beam the vampire into?

I still think the house would be “infused.” Couldn’t get a lock. Closest parallel in Star Trek to magic involved is the Q. If Q made a house impregnable, no technobabble could get in.

But Q’d never make it impregnable, he’d always make it a test. He’s kinda like the Riddler that way.

I’m just using Q as an example of “magic.”

Magic is just science you don’t understand yet. If Wesley Crusher became a vampire, could he enter any house he wanted to?

Wesley as the Traveler’s apprentice? Probably.

Probably not. The supernatural rules binding the vampire most likely are based on the notion of “possession of area,” and therefore bypassing the border would not undo the restriction. I mean, it probably could beam him down there, but he’d explode or something.
